A Day to Remember

Today is a day we will remember for many, many years - no doubt about it.  After a very thorough and successful PDI (pre delivery inspection) we drove off in our new RV, the Allegro Bus.  What a great, great feeling. The Bus is absolutely wonderful and all the staff at the dealer, Kings Campers, in Wausau, Wisconsin made our 1st RV purchase a great success…they are so dedicated to customer satisfaction.  We left the dealership around 10 a.m. and drove about 200 miles.  Tom is very impressed with how the Bus operates and rides.  The seats feel like butter!  My seat even has a foot rest.  Riding down the road in a recliner is not something I ever expected to do!   Northern Wisconsin is very scenic - tons of trees..many already showing their colors.  Most of the drive was via US 8…our dealer said this was a fairly new road and he is correct.  It was in great shape for a 2 lane route and it had an ample shoulder the entire way.  We encountered a couple of construction areas - but Tom navigated thru them with ease.  We pulled off for a short break about 3 hours into the drive at a really nice rest stop.  In Wisconsin they call their rest stops - Waysides.  It was a beautiful spot - perfect for a Kodak moment - and wouldn’t you know it - the digital camera had no charge -  Dang!  Oh well plenty of time for more pics.

We are currently parked at a small campground off US 2 in Rapid River, Michigan called Whitefish Hill.  It’s a little close to the main road,  but hey - it has full hookups - plus WiFi.  For an overnight spot - its just fine. Below are a few pics of Tom at our site -  cooking and watching TV outside and inside.  What a life - huh?  He loves the Euro Recliner.. it is very comfy.

Next stop -  Mackinaw City, MI.  We’ve always wanted to see Mackinac Island.  Hope the weather is nice.  Lucy
