2 Days, 2 Countries, 2 KOAs

I wonder how many RVers..stay in 2 KOAs within 2 Days in 2 Countries??? Maybe more than I realize - but it was a 1st for us.

Our drive from Traverse City to Port Huron was slow and at times horrible - (horrible Tom’s description) - due to the poor condition of I-75 - but we still made good time and pulled into the Port Huron, KOA around 3:30 p.m.  WOW this is a big KOA with a lot of amentities (many for the kiddies) and some very nice wooded sites.  Our site (pic below) was called a Supersite.. meaning it was paved, had a stamped brick patio, full hookups  - including cable and nice patio furniture. We paid a few more $$ for this site,  but we are treating ourselves since we cannot spend much time at each location.  There are tons of things for kids to do at this KOA - besides a pool they have a cute train that goes around the park, go-carts, water bumper cars that has a big waterfall, etc. The only issue at this park is some traffic (in the distance) and a train went by at night - but neither of these bothered us that much.

Our drive from Port Huron to Niagra Falls - was very nice.  The Canadian roads are in great condition.  Once we arrived in Niagra Falls - we had to go thru some tight city traffic - which was nailbiting - but once again Tom managed it perfectly.  This KOA was very upscale compared to most and our site was very shaded and large.  We arrived mid afternoon - early enough to see the Falls..which is simply spectacular!  Click here to see all the pics I mention above - includng shots of Niagra Falls.

Onto a campground called Shangri-La near Milton, PA  That’s right - I said Shangri-La!
