Wanted - a new Blog Style

My blog is just about 6 months old - just a baby in blog world. Blog-Baby.jpgLike many others. I visit other blogs - those listed on my site and a few others. Sometimes once a day or when time permits. Each has their own personality and I really enjoy reading their stories, seeing beautiful photography, laughing at the cartoons. etc. It's like my own personal newspaper - without all the hype and no reports about Iraq - thank God. What more can be said about politics that you don't hear on TV all day long or read in the papers, magazines. A bunch of bloggers discussing this stuff (seriously) gives me a headache.

Funny blogs - boy i wish mine was funny - but at best i might rant about something and it could possibly be funny - but probably isn't. No my blog is just about my everyday life - I don't tell you when i got up (do i?) when i made the bed - i try not to record the mundane. But you may feel what i do write about is mundane.

If your reading this and your not a blogger..and you think blogging is narcissistic - Your just jealous - get your own blog. There - i'm probably sometimes offensive.  So sorry.

I'm thinking about starting a regular entry like Tan Lucy Pez "Radio question of the Day" or in 2006 she plans to learn something new everyday. I'm guessing she'll share it with us. I missed out on the snail lesson in school - not sure why they did not cover this. I now know something the teachers probably don't - thanks to TLP.  Or how cool is Old Horsetail Snake's "Favorite word of the day". My vocabulary is much improved after reading Hoss for 6 months. I think we should have a Hoss Dictionary. He could make his pile..with the right publisher - eh? Yep - i'd like to do something original like these 2, but i haven't figured out what that is yet. I don't want to copy what others do - I don't like to be a copycat. I have to think about it some more. But don't hold your breath - it may never happen. I think out loud a lot ( or in print i should say).

Oh well - meanwhile - i found a new blog...that i really, really  like - The Painted Pear. This gal is soooo talented. She too is fairly new to the blog world. She draws, is crafty, etc. Her drawings are amazing - the kind of drawings i'd expect to see on Hallmark cards, in a cartoon column, a book or something. For sewing enthusiasts - i think her drawings would make darling embroidery designs. She is witty -- and good at it. So during your blog reading today, take time to visit her site. The link i provided will take you to her current drawing - but page through her entries to see a good sample.  I truly enjoy visiting.. and seeing the new cartoons she has sketched -- they are so clever.

You have to be one of the nicest, geniune (and need I say lucky as I browse you sitting on beaches!) person I have never met. You may be my own personal angel. Thank you and your everday life is most certainly NOT mundane.Keep writing, I'm reading.

You are way too hard on yourself. I love seeing what's up in your world. All of our worlds are somewhat mundane, but it's fun to meet nice people and learn more about them through their blogs. I feel closer to some of my blog buddies than I do people I know that I call "friend".
Hey, I finally figured out that "link" thingie. woohoo. Thanks!

Maybe you could get athlete's foot, and give daily reports on its progress along your toes.

(You're doing fine, Lucy.)

I like your blog. It's part of my personal newspaper too. I get to travel all over through your eyes. How cool is that?!
Heading over to checkout the new kid on the blog block.

I Love your blog desing! Who did it???

I totally relate to your aprehensiveness about
what would the daily mudane look like, BUT *

THe POINT of a blog is a PLACE JUST FOR YOU!

In reviewing your blog, I discovered that you have no less than 4 comments per entry. That should encourage you. There are those of us that don't have the gift of 'blog' that need you in their life. I've gotten to know you better in the past 2 months than I did in our previous 30+ years ...... and "I Love Lucy" :)

I would have to agree with the majority here. You have me checking in to see whats new and I have a really short attention span (well I do!). Keep doing what you're doing and dont forget [always write for Lucy] not for the masses ;-)

I was going to voice my thoughts on your blog but after reading the above comments, I don't need to. What I was going to say has been said by everyone else. Your a good writer and there you are.
I Love Lucy too!
