Lucy in Bus Blues, RVing Year4, South Carolina

We are bummed!  Tuesday we learned the tires put on the Bus after the blowout are not the correct load range.  This is a big problem in terms of cost and safety so we are staying @ Freightliner until they can replace the tires.  Since this was a request outside of the earlier appointment, we are now on a waiting list for the work ins.   frown

Meanwhile Tom spent most of yesterday working with Coach Net to resolve the cost issue.  Long story, short they went to bat for us and we will receive a full credit for the Michelins from the roadside company and Coach Net will make up the difference.

Coach Net is the facilitator of the process and they took ownership from the get go.  The quality assurance manager told us  their recordings confirm they asked us and we responded -  we must have load range H’s.   Every person we spoke with throughout this process has been incredibly professional.

So here we sit.  Freightliner has 20 sites with electric hookups — these are sites 16-20.  We are in site 19.  Water and dump station is not far away.

And we hope to get in here asap.  They have 6 service bays.  A rare moment where the bay door is open.   They are very thorough and manage their schedules carefully to be fair for everyone.  You don’t walk around in here without a service tech assisting and there is also no jumping ahead of another — although it’s hard to sit here, we respect that.

We already know it won’t be today.  groan  And tomorrow doesn’t look good either…unless someone cancels.  It will be a loooong weekend.   Patience is a virtue - eh?

This is the 2nd year in a row we had plans to revisit Mountain Stream but  had to cancel.  Hopefully someone else got to enjoy this site - it would be  a shame for it to remain empty especially this time  of year.
