It's a Zoo

Symphony from ModaI finally got busy ordering fabric for a few 2009 projects. Some fabrics choices can be changed, but I really wanted this Symphony line for the famly room quilt. I had to order from 3 different shops to get all my choices. Lucky me one shop had enough for the backing.

Cottage Romance from Maywood StudiosI decided against using this Cottage Romance line for the guest room quilt. It’s pretty, but the red is not the red I was looking for.

Soooo I started making a cell phone case from the charm square pack, but as I looked at it I wasn’t feeling it. It felt more like a doll quilt. So that’s what it will be. When I finish piecing all these 1.5” squares. rolling eyes

And in a “gotta have it” moment, I ordered my very own Magoo pattern.

I’ve been waiting for this pattern since I first saw it on the Jolly Jabber blog during the Houston quilt market. Today I went on a hunt and found it at Cottage Quilts. Maggie (that’s what I’ll call her) will hang around my sewing room when done.

Who can resist Melly and Me animals? Not me. Heck I might have a zoo by year end.

Lucy, I love the Moda Symphony line, I have the fat quarter collection of it, really gorgeous fabrics! Your "Magoo" is too cute! I'm going to have to go check that out!

Did anyone ever mention how dangerous blogs are? LOL

Yea CJ blogs can be dangerous, but I love them -- they have opened my eyes to so many wonderful projects. If only the technology we have today was avail 10 years ago - I believe I would have pursued a career change and been happier for it.

Thanks Rick -- I just read your comments. I'm glad you are happy with the bear. Not to worry - I'll get mine done -- but right now I just need a break from them. I heard about your sock monkey. How cool.

Magoo is a cutie and I can't wait to make her, even though I bet she'll be a challenge to stuff..those skinny arms and legs. I'm so glad you found that picture - I really appreciate it. And thanks for the new ones of mom and dad -- I think those must have been from their honeymoon. They are great!
