Fun RV Renovations

This couple has the most fun renovating their homes. Sticks and Bricks or ones on wheels.   I’d love to tackle the renovation of an older RV like they did.  Even once!  They have done it 3 times — so jealous.   Maybe when ours is 15 years old I’ll get brave and paint the walls???  eek!  Probably not, but wouldn’t it be fun to just “go for it”!  Take a look at their accomplishments …in Flickr albums.

1994 Fleetwood Flair

1983 Minnie Winnie

1998 Alpine 36’

I’ve blogged about this couple before, but fellow RVers who are not familiar with them might enjoy reading thru their old and current blog

In summary — they toured the U.S. with the ‘94 Flair to promote green living.  Then sold it to upgrade to the ‘98 Alpine for something bigger.  They sold that to buy a house when she got pregnant again.  Bought the ‘83 Minni Winnie to use for vacations and latest blog entry says they plan to buy another Alpine - 40’ this time and go back on the road full time I guess.  Somebody got that cute Minnie Winnie for 8K!  I think I got that all straight but check out their blogs to get specifics.  Anyway she says they plan to renovate the 40’ Alpine and add bunk beds.  How fun!

Wow, those are some major renovations! I call it a remodel when I make new curtains or something... LOL

WOW - I do believe they have "out-remodeled" us all.

Thank you for posting the links so we could see what remodeling they have done. They are really crafty.
We actually painted the walls in our 1994 Airstream Motorhome. I also took down the window valances and redid the curtains. It was lots of fun, and made it "our motorhome". We did sell it and bought a 20' 2008 Airstream Trailer. We also did a little remodeling in that. We had the dinette taken out and a sofa put in. It made it seem bigger and definitely more comfortable. Who wants to sit in a booth all evening watching TV. LOL
I am looking forward to seeing your window treatments. Did you open the door yet?

Thanks Lucy for another great post! I've been wanting to paint but am petrified. I loved these renovations they did - but obviously they don't full time - the kitchen is terrific but I can't imagine moving it all every time the coach moves. We are in northern Indiana at the moment - our plan was to buy some new furniture - the chair maker moved and we couldn't find him - until yesterday and we're leaving in two or three days and the furniture builder is in CO for a few months - UGH some things are just not meant to be I guess, but I could use a few changes in here - or maybe a change of weather - it is getting cooooold here and I keep thinking about December onwards in the Keys!!!
Glad you are back home and had a nice visit north - glad you are back on line - I've missed you and your positive, never ending energy!
