A Figgy Pudding Weekend
Friday, October 16, 2009
The Bus valance project is in limbo since I’m waiting on extra cording.. soooo I figure it’s good time to finish up some xmas projects. Like the Figgy Pudding xmas tree skirt. Yep it’s been hanging here waiting on M.E. I’m the plug — as usual.
The WIPs are out of control at Lucy’s place so I did what most procrastinators do.
I started another one. gulp
I can’t help myself. It’s a sickness. I saw a finished one of these Stick Santas at the quilt store and it was instant love.
How could I resist? I couldn’t. And obviously didn’t. Now I just need to make another section like this one and put it all together.
The kit comes with the cardboard tube and all the accessories inside. The fuseable grid is a separate purchase. You can buy the kit here. The did buy the grid too, however, I didn’t follow the grid lines - I just placed my squares one on top of the other and pressed one or two rows at a time. It was easier to keep it straight - imo. So you can probably save money just buying a piece of this iron on stuff at JoAnns…
Here’s hoping I have a good Figgy Pudding weekend and I have no more distractions. Like the other one I created last Tuesday.
I bought another jar for my threads. $4. Since I’m behind on my projects - thread usage is down. Not really an antique, but it spoke to me. Like lots of stuff does. Especially things with $$ signs.

Oh my goodness, he is just too adorable! I am so in love with the Figgy Pudding line! I think it is one of my favorite lines ever! Have you seen the "Have a Sheri Berry Holiday" by Sheri Berry for Northcott Fabrics? I love it too! Very retro and the colors are not your typical Christmas colors! Very fun!
Your projects look like so much fun, Lucy. I can't wait to have the time to try some things like this. I have put in my retirement notice, and my last day will be 12/31/09. I'm counting the days!
What a cute little stick Santa! Think how far ahead you are for Christmas......so no problem starting new projects. LOL

I know Julia -- -- Figgy Pudding is like this year's Chocolat to me. I loved that line. I have not seen Sheri Berry -- I must take a look at that.
I'm so happy for you Ali -- what a way to end the year! In just a few more months you'll be lounging at Ortona.
Thanks Cathy -- I'm semi-ahead. Finishing a few more would be helpful -- lol.
